About This Book
"Tokyo - Architecture & Urban Legends: Tokyo Eleven Paradise" is a pop-up book published in 2001 as a commemorative publication for the "Tokyo Architecture Exhibition" held at the Edo-Tokyo Museum. It recreates in three dimensions through pop-up mechanisms eleven legendary architectural structures and places called "paradises" that appeared in Tokyo.
This picture book brings to life, one by one as you turn each page, crystallizations of dreams that received everyone's hopes and aspirations. Illustrated by Keiji Ito and UFG, it's a work that lets you visually experience modern Tokyo's architectural history.
